Councillor slams city's narrower definition for consultant spending

A Saskatoon city councillor thinks the city is “deceiving” taxpayers by coming up with a new definition for consultants and a lower dollar figure for 2016.
The City of Saskatoon altered its definition of consultants and came up with a drastically lower number for how much it spent on outside advice in 2016 — $1.9 million compared to $18.63 million in 2015.
