Council rejects request to expand Remai Modern board

Saskatoon city council has effectively spurned a request by the Remai Modern art gallery board to increase its size.
Remai Modern board chair Alain Gaucher wrote to city hall asking that the board be expanded “immediately” from 14 to 16 members. Gaucher said in the letter that the move is intended to address a “substantial backlog” of work at the “governance committee level.”
