City's reserve funds now at $158M, debt at $319M

RISING RESERVES
The City of Saskatoon’s reserve funds grew to $158 million in 2016, according to a City of Saskatoon report presented to council. The 2015 total was $141 million. The report describes the balance as “healthy.” Reserve funds had dropped to a low of about $50 million in 2010. The replenishment of reserve funds in 2015 marked their highest total in more than a decade.
