Charges laid after assault rifle, meth seized in Battleford area

A 27-year-old man from Onion Lake is facing numerous charges after an assault rifle and crystal meth were seized following a police chase and foot pursuit in the Battleford area on Thursday.
Jordan Grant Waskewitch is facing charges of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, failing to comply with a breath demand, possession of a prohibited device and possession of meth for the purpose of trafficking, according to an RCMP news release.
