CEW Deployment/Self-harm - 700 block 8th St. E

One woman was taken to hospital yesterday morning following a report of self-harm.At approximately 1:00 a.m., August 30, 2020, Patrol members were dispatched to a home in the 700 block of 8th Street East. The call stated that a woman was attempting to harm herself. Upon arrival, Police briefly observed the woman armed with a knife and in distress, prior to her barricading herself in a room. The woman refused to exit the room inside of the suite. To prevent further self-harm, officers entere
