CEW Deployment - Assault - 3rd Avenue and 23rd Street

A 30-year-old man is facing multiple charges after an incident in which officers were required to deploy a Conducted Energy Weapon (CEW) earlier this evening.Just after 10:00 p.m., September 11, 2017, Police responded to a disturbance in the 200 block of 3rd Ave. South. The suspect was swinging a chair at a staff member at a business and then threatened them with a machete.
