CEW Deployed in SPS Detention

Saskatoon Police deployed a conducted energy weapon (CEW), yesterday in the SPS Detention Centre after a man in custody attempted to disarm a member of their firearm.At approximately 12:00 a.m., August 6, 2018, Officers in Detention were transferring a man in custody from his cell to a separate area of Detention where he was to appear before a Justice of the Peace.
