Here are some of the numbers related to proposed options from City of Saskatoon administration to change the way residents pay for trash collection.
These proposals still need to be approved by city council. The numbers could change if council opts for a different direction.
$8.1 million: Total cost of waste management in 2017 ($696,300 higher than budgeted)
$18.1 million: Estimated total waste management cost for the first year of a new program with variable trash cart rates and organics waste
