Bridges cover: Life of service work began early for Conrad Burns

When Conrad Burns enters Saskatoon after a long journey along the shoulder of Highway 11 this weekend, it will be the eighth year he has walked that route to raise awareness about domestic abuse.
“Walking for a cause is sacrifice. You spend your own time, your own money … to walk for someone else for a cause, for people you don’t even know. But it’s important,” says Burns, 40.
The walks began after Burns ended a relationship with an emotionally abusive girlfriend.
