Bridge, Riders close to completing comeback

TORONTO — Brandon Bridge just needed to be himself.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders quarterback, nicknamed “Air Canada,” admitted that he struggled in the first half of Sunday’s 25-21 CFL playoff loss to the Toronto Argonauts.
A talk with the coaching staff during halftime enabled Bridge to relax and just play football. The discussion almost paid off as the Riders assumed a 21-18 lead late in the fourth quarter of the East Division final with a calmer Bridge at quarterback.
