Braylon Shmyr leads Blades over Hitmen

Braylon Shmyr’s hat trick helped lead the Saskatoon Blades to a 5-1 victory over the host Calgary Hitmen on Sunday. Nolan Maier stopped 32 of 33 shots for the win in net.
The Blades are now 30-27-2-1 with 63 points on the WHL season. They are six points ahead of the Prince Albert Raiders for the final Eastern Conference playoff spot, and are also four points behind the Brandon Wheat Kings for the seventh playoff spot. Both other teams have two games in hand on the Blades.
