Blades goalie Maier leads Blades to two wins on weekend

A hot glove by goalie Nolan Maier helped the Saskatoon Blades to back-to-back wins on their weekend road trip.
Trailing 1-0 after the first period on Friday, the Blades rallied for a 3-1 win over the Medicine Hat Tigers. In another close game on Saturday, the Blades emerged with a 2-1 win over the Kootenay Ice.
Maier picked up both wins, stopping 35 shots on Friday and another 31 on Saturday. Saskatoon improves to 12-7-2-0. Their 26 points put them in second place in the WHL’s East Divisio
