Beanbag guns rarely used, but still a valuable tool, police say

Saskatoon city police rarely use beanbag guns, but police officials say they’re still a valuable tool.
According to a Use of Force report sent to the board of police commissioners in May, officers only used the weapon once a year in 2014, 2015 and 2016. This year, a beanbag gun was used at least once so far — on Monday during an incident  involving a stolen vehicle.
