Assault - SPS Member Charged

A Saskatoon Police Constable is facing a charge of common assault following an investigation by the SPS Professional Standards section. Constable J. Gelowitz was charged in relation to an on-duty response to a stolen vehicle which evaded police in spite of attempts by officers to stop it in December 2016.  In accordance with Saskatoon Police Service policy, the incident was reviewed by the SPS Use of Force Review Committee and forwarded to the Professional Standards Section, Internal I
