Air quality statement issued for Saskatoon, Regina due to elevated levels of pollution
Environment Canada has issued an air quality statement for parts of Saskatchewan including Saskatoon and Regina due to elevated levels of pollution.
On Monday, the national forecaster explained “stagnant winds” caused by a ridge of high pressure have caused increased levels of pollution, but say conditions should improve on Tuesday.
“People with lung diseases, such as asthma and COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), can be particularly sensitive to air pollution,”
