Aging Saskatchewan river crossing safe, so long as repairs made: engineering report

PRINCE ALBERT — An independent engineering report says a 57-year-old bridge in Prince Albert that provides a vital highway link to a number of northern communities can last well into the future with proper maintenance.
The report on the Diefenbaker Bridge, which spans the North Saskatchewan River and handles 24,000 vehicle trips per day, says the structure can safely handle the traffic that uses it.
