AEDs saved more lives in Saskatoon than anywhere else in North America
Heart Month is officially underway, and automated external defibrillators (AED) continue to show their benefits in saving lives.
The Heart Safe Program started by MD Ambulance, now called Medavie Health Services West (MHS), began in 2005 to help promote the benefits of AEDs. It was a slow start, said MHS spokesman Troy Davies, because at first it was hard to convince businesses to spend $5,000 for one of the life-saving devices.
