Saskatoon's Brevoort Park restored with flood protection basin underneath

City officials and happy residents turned out on Tuesday to mark the reopening of Brevoort Park, which now lies atop a concrete basin large enough to accommodate enough water to fill two Olympic-sized swimming pools. The restored south part of the park becomes the fourth completed project of a $54-million, multi-year city hall plan to prevent flooding in certain areas.
