Sarnia Every Child Matters walk marks Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Indigenous communities are still healing from the impact of Canada’s residential schools, Elizabeth Plain told those taking part Wednesday in an Every Child Matters march in Sarnia.The Aamjiwnaang First Nation resident spoke at Sarnia’s waterfront after the march from the Sarnia-Lambton Native Friendship Centre on Lochiel Street.Many wore orange shirts as they marched behind an eagle staff and drummers to the waterfront at Paul Blundy Park.Canada’s first National Day for Truth
