Ramadan food drive growing in Sarnia

More volunteers visited more houses and collected more food for local charities in this year’s Sarnia Muslim Association Ramadan Food Drive. Forty-seven volunteers canvassed door to door and collected 1,360 kilograms (3,000 pounds) of donations on a Sunday in March for the Inn of the Good Shepherd and Sarnia-Lambton Women’s Interval Home, said association president Abdul Haffejee. The amount collected and donated is an approximately 50 per cent increase over the about 910 kilograms
