Lambton College to offer wildfire prevention and emergency response program in fall 2027

Approval for Lambton College’s new wildfire prevention and emergency response diploma program arrived just days before smoke from Northern Ontario fires blanketed Sarnia and elsewhere.The timing of conditions supporting the need for the program “just worked out,” said Aaron Klooster, dean for the Sarnia college’s fire science programs.The advanced diploma program will launch in September 2027 and be offered in three semesters during two years for graduates of pre-service
