CBSA to end commercial driver registration program
A seldom-used program to expedite commercial driving across the border is being scrapped.The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) will end the Commercial Driver Registration Program (CDRP) on September 1.The border agency said that the decision was made after a routine review of its programs, to ensure border security is maintained."The CBSA is ending the CDRP because few people use it and it duplicates another program called the Free and Secure Trade (FAST)," read a media release from the CBSA.
