Sports Illustrated magazine’s 2018 Winter Olympic preview tabbed the Ottawa-based team comprising Rachel Homan, Emma Miskew, Joanne Courtney and Lisa Weagle as favourites to win the gold medal in women’s curling.
That same edition also included a tidbit about a tattoo on Homan’s sliding (left) foot: Per ardua ad astra.
That’s Latin for “Through adversity to the stars,” the motto adopted when the Royal Canadian Air Force came into existence in 1924.
Homan, whos
