Worker seriously burned in construction site propane blast

A man in his 50s sustained serious burns to his face and hands Tuesday morning after a propane tank exploded at a construction site in Old Stittsville.
Ottawa Paramedic Service said they were called to the scene at Carp and Hazeldean roads shortly after 11 a.m.
A paramedics spokesman said the victim was working in a small unit that contained propane tanks. One of the tanks blew up when the victim turned on a light.
Paramedics stabilized the victim and administered analgesics intra-venously.
