Winter tires saved youngster in two-storey fall, neighbours say

Neighbours of a four-year-old boy who fell from a second-floor window Wednesday night in the Cummings/Cyrville neighbourhood say a stack of four winter tires immediately below the window may have saved the child’s life.
Roland Arsenault, who lives two doors down in the Hendon Way row housing, where the incident occurred, said he was smoking a cigarette in his backyard at about 9:30 p.m., moments before the youngster fell.
