Winter from hell was record-setting good news for Gatineau Park

The arduous winter of 2018-19 was a pain to many, but the season was a winner for activities in Gatineau Park.
The National Capital Commission reported Friday season pass sales were up 18 per cent over the previous winter, with a total of 10,099 passes sold (8,832 ski passes, and 1,267 snowshoe and snow bike passes).
Visitors made 1,333 requests for overnight accommodation, a three per cent rise from the previous year.
The park’s trails were open 120 days since the season officially began
