Winchester's Jimmy Wise to stand trial for murder next year

Retired Winchester mechanic Jimmy Wise will stand trial on a charge of first-degree murder next year after waiving his right to a preliminary hearing.
Wise, 75, appeared Thursday in a Cornwall courtroom where Justice Deborah Kinsella committed him to trial in the death of Raymond Collison, 59, whose decomposed remains were found in a Morewood drainage ditch in April 2014.
Wise intends to plead not guilty in the case.
A four-day preliminary hearing was scheduled to begin in January, but
