Wildlife officers capture bear cub, mother, sleeping in Aylmer tree

A pair of bears, apparently a cub and its mother, had their sleep disrupted early Friday when they were spotted in the branches of a tree in front of a home in Aylmer.
Gatineau police received a call from an anxious homeowner on Rue Des Thuyas, near the Boucher Forest area, at about 3 a.m.
On arrival, they spotted the pair, which did not respond to their presence.
Police maintained security until wildlife officers arrived at about 7 a.m.
