What Lanark County is learning from Iceland's approach to reducing teen drinking

In 2016, Iceland welcomed a Lanark County import by the name of Eliza Reid as the country’s first lady after her husband, Gudni Johannesson, was elected president. The Oxford-educated Reid grew up on a hobby farm near Ashton, on the edge of the rural Ottawa Valley county.
Two years later, Lanark County is repaying the hospitality, in a sense, by welcoming an import from Iceland by the name of Alfgeir Kristjansson. And county public health officials and community activists are hoping the me
