Wet, windy commute could turn icy by afternoon
It was wet and windy on the way to work Friday morning.
Traffic was already thick and slow on Queensway heading from the west end downtown, where commuters and residents had to contend with a power outage straddling Bank Street and stretching from the highway to Lisgar Street.
Hydro Ottawa had estimated restoration time at 1 p.m., but worked in record time and had it restored by 8 a.m.
