West Carleton Warriors win Good Deeds Cup and $100,000 for Dunrobin tornado relief

Thanks to their determined efforts off the ice, the West Carleton Warriors have won the Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup and its $100,000 grand prize, which the team is dedicating to disaster relief in Dunrobin.
The official announcement was made during the second intermission of Saturday’s Hockey Night in Canada broadcast, but word of the team’s victory had leaked online earlier in the day.
The Warriors topped finalists from Saint John, N.B., and Lanaudière, Que., to claim the cup.
