Weekend patrols tackled 'disruptive and illegal behaviours'

Police issued a spate of tickets for open liquor and distracted driving, seized booze and warned public pot smokers during a long weekend blitz in the Byward Market, Sandy Hill and Montreal Road areas.
The summer-time patrols targeted “disruptive and illegal behaviours in key areas of the city,” police said.
They teamed up with OC Transpo special constables for foot patrols and walked through several local bars with Alcohol and Gaming Commission inspectors.
