Weather mess will get messier, with snow, rain and serious wind chill

It’s messy out there and will only get messier.
Rain was pelting down on the capital Friday morning and is expected to change to snow, mixed with rain, through the day.
Periods of snow, at times driven by serious winds out of the northwest gusting to 60 km/h and you have a recipe for gloom.
In a “special statement” Environment Canada said “precipitation is expected to transition to all snow this evening as temperatures fall below freezing.”
