'We hear your prayers,' say family of Ottawa boy missing on St. Lawrence River

The parents of an Ottawa boy missing since a boat capsized on the St. Lawrence River last weekend hailed the “heroic” first responders and citizens who have hunted for the “kind, gentle soul” as the continuing search was scaled back Friday.
They thanked police, border services officers, firefighters and the private divers, boaters, kayakers and cottagers who searched for the 11-year-old “who loves life and loves to laugh.”
