Verner's artwork will be part of a Better Beechwood in 2018

Residents of Beechwood are on a crusade to brighten their neighbourhood, and now they have chosen the artwork that will best represent their vision.
Created from plastic fragments of colourful laundry soap containers, “The Lilypond” was unveiled Friday as the winning proposal for the Better Beechwood 2017 campaign. Approximately 30 people gathered at the Chartwell New Edinburgh Retirement Residence to see the artwork as well as to meet its creator, Barbara Verner.
“It’s a
