UPDATE: Two in custody as overnight shooting deemed a homicide

A man in his 50s has died after a shooting in Vanier early Saturday morning that police are investigating as a homicide.
Two people are in custody in the case. It was the Ottawa’s 17th homicide of 2017.
Police were called around 3 a.m. to respond to the shooting in a two-storey house with four apartments on Fréchette Street near Joliet Avenue.
Police performed CPR and used a defibrillator to try to stabilize the man.
