UPDATE: Crews en route to remove buried worker from Quebec sandpit

Quebec officials say they have now been cleared to enter the site and recover the body of a man who was buried in a sandpit last Thursday.
The 31-year-old man was operating an excavator at a sandpit near Highway 105 at Farrellton when a large amount of sand slid down from the wall of the pit, burying him and his machine.
“Our inspectors are at the site,” Alain Trudel of the province’s Committee on Standards, Equity, Health and Safety said early Thursday.
