Update: 58-year-old man dead after being struck by vehicle in Kanata

A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle on Goulbourn Forced Road in North Kanata at about 5 p.m. Thursday.
Police said that the victim was a 58-year-old man. They have notified his next of kin.
Investigators have identified the driver and took witness statements, police said. They expected to release further details later Friday.
A witness, who asked not to be identified, said Friday that she was still shaken by the disturbing scene she encountered while out walking her dog.
