uOttawa says it has a 230-person gap when it comes to visible minority professors

The University of Ottawa is nowhere near to meeting its employment equity targets, acknowledging it should hire 230 visible minority professors to be on track, documents reveal.
The university, however, says budget restraints prevent it from moving quickly to do so.
The information, from October 2016, is contained in documents released by the Department of Human Resources and Skills Development Canada through access to information and reviewed by this paper.
