Two displaced in early-morning rowhouse fire in New Edinburgh

At least two people were displaced after a two-alarm fire struck a New Edinburgh rowhouse Saturday morning.
Ottawa Fire Services received two 911 calls at about 5:30 a.m. reporting a basement fire at 221 Crichton St., the end unit of an eight-unit rowhouse complex.
A second alarm was called at 6:06 a.m. as firefighters dealt with both the initial blaze and preventing the fire from spreading to adjacent units.
