Two displaced, firefighter injured in Gatineau house fire

Two people have been displaced and a firefighter was slightly injured after a blaze heavily damaged a home Saturday at 235 Achbar St., in Gatineau’s Lac Beauchamp neighbourhood.
Firefighters were called to the scene at about 10 a.m. and were able to control the blaze by about 11.
Residents had been alerted by smoke detectors and escaped uninjured.
Damages were estimated at $143,000. A fire investigator was at the scene.ALSO IN THE NEWS
