Two displaced as fire engulfs Cumberland-area home

East-end firefighters were already investigating the smell of smoke in the air Thursday afternoon when they spotted a plume of black smoke southeast of Cumberland.
That’s when 911 calls started coming in reporting flames at a two-storey house on O’Toole Rd.
A working fire was declared at 2:21 p.m. and the fire that engulfed the home wasn’t under control until 4:05 p.m.
No one was injured but two displaced adults were being helped by the Canadian Red Cross and the Salvation
