Transportation agency orders hearing into Air Transat tarmac delays

OTTAWA — The Canadian Transportation Agency says it plans to hold a public hearing about an incident last week in which two Air Transat planes sat for hours on an Ottawa tarmac.The agency is releasing Air Transat's detailed explanation of what went wrong, with the airline saying there was no way to get passengers off the planes safely.
