Tornado aftermath: City warns of ice surface closures as workers race to restore services

City of Ottawa crews are working around the clock to restore ice surfaces at several facilities that lost power over the weekend, which led to rink surfaces deteriorating.
The city said, due to the blackout, ice surfaces at the Walter Baker Sports Centre and Minto Recreation Complex in Barrhaven, the Tom Brown Arena on Bayview Road, the Nepean Sportsplex on Woodroofe Avenue, the Pinecrest Recreation Complex in Nepean and the Richmond Arena, are all closed for the time being.
