A sense of pride, not disgust
The Jody Wilson-Raybould saga has had the interesting and ironic effect of renewing my faith and rekindling my passion as a Canadian citizen.
The scandal has revealed Ottawa’s seamy underside, the sordid behind-the-scenes machinations. But it has also demonstrated the potential for principle and policy to prevail over personality and politics. That should be our takeaway – a sense of pride, not a feeling of disgust.
