Today's letters: Where should we hold Canada Day party next year?

July 1 belongs to Ottawa, not Gatineau
Re: Hill’s Canada Day party might spill into Gatineau, July 12.
Because of the coming Centre Block construction, Parliament Hill will not be able to host the main Canada Day celebrations for a while. So where will the event be held? Ottawa is the capital of this country; therefore the main Canada Day event should definitely be held in Ottawa. Gatineau has played a part in the past with different aspects of Canada Day, but never for the main event.
