Better wages are about fairness
Re: Public sees red over blaming wage hike for demise of Tomato, Dec. 13.
Focusing on a minimum-wage increase as the logic for closing a longstanding, successful, high-end iconic restaurant seems puzzling. Fancy food, fancy surroundings – and staff paid below the poverty line. Seems a bit jarring to me.
