The full-page Vimy Ridge advertisement in Monday’s Citizen by the Vimy Foundation, commemorating the 101st anniversary of the battle and proclaiming April 9 as ‘The Day Canada Became a Nation,” appears to be part of a steady campaign to ingrain that tagline within our society.
