Serve taxpayers, not bureaucrats
Re: Fixing Phoenix pay system is priority #1, says Canada’s top public servant, April 25.
What a relief it is to know that the Clerk of the Privy Council’s top priority is ensuring that a couple of hundred thousand federal government bureaucrats are paid properly. Heaven forbid that the first priority would be providing services to taxpayers. Then again, if cutting a cheque is too complex, one’s expectations should be correspondingly adjusted.&n
