We ignore our heritage at home
Recently, and although the Built Heritage Committee had denied it, Ottawa Council agreed to allow the current owners (Ugandan Embassy) of 231 Cobourg St., the former residence of prime minister Lester Pearson, to be demolished and replaced.
Once again, Canadians have displayed ignorance and disregard for buildings of value to our sense of our history.  In this case, we have erected a plaque at the graceful farmhouse at the corner of Augusta and Daly Streets, w
